At Patilero we handcraft our Pastries and Chocolates with fine Belgian chocolate, fresh cream, nuts, liqueurs and fresh fruit. Our breads are baked fresh daily using an oldfashioned natural method to enhance the subtle flavours in the bread. All our cakes, pastries, breads and chocolates do not contain any hydrogenated fats or preservatives.

About the Artisan

For over forty years I have been fascinated with the intricacies of pastries and how master Pastry Chefs create such beautiful, tasteful and yet delicate art pieces. I began my working career over thirty five years ago as an apprentice Pastry Chef. Over time, I learned all aspects of baking, sugar work, wedding cakes and especially working with chocolate.

While living in Europe for three years I had the opportunity to work with some of the finest Pastry Chefs from around the world. Within that time, I was able to visit some of the most famous Pastry and Chocolate Shops of France, Denmark and Holland. I found shops like Le Notre, Pierre Heerme and Arnoud Larher to be especially awesome.

Opening my own Chocolate and Pastry Shop some eighteen years ago was truly exciting for me. I was finally able to fulfill my dream of creating incredible wedding cakes, chocolate art pieces.

Our clients came from all over Canada and the United States. I would like to share the knowledge and insights that I have been given by many of the great people whom I have met over the years.
